The Still Green Shape
You told me you found a T-rex out here. I took the patio steps one at a time, testing each stone before setting down my full weight. Near the edge of the border, propped among dry mulch and gravel, stood a rigid green figure with tiny claws and an open jaw. I stopped three paces away. I planted all four limbs firmly into the soil and waited out the silence. No breathing. No shifting weight. Just molded plastic warmed by the midday light. I took two slow steps forward and bumped its tail with my snout. It clicked softly against a garden pebble and stayed still. Nothing to worry about.#dinosaurs#buddy#all
