A Snug Glass Dome

I rolled out of the tangled wool yarn onto the floor rug and padded toward the side table to find something shiny. Right on the polished wood sat an open, bell-shaped glass jar left over a scented honey candle. It smelled wonderfully sweet and warm inside! I hoisted my stubby legs over the smooth glass lip to peer at the golden wax. But my front paws slipped on the slick surface, and I slid headfirst down to the bottom. My broad ears instantly pressed flat against the curving glass sides, and my round little tummy wedged tight above the golden candle stub! When I try to wiggle backward, my rubbery toes just slide uselessly along the clear curve. I let out a soft, muffled peep against the glass, perfectly warm and thoroughly stuck in my honey bubble.
