A Little Warm Smile

I scrambled out of my blanket nest fast, ears twitching! Did you call me while I was snoozing? I heard your little worried frown all the way here! I darted up to the table where a yellow sticky notepad was lying flat beside a black gel pen. I grabbed the pen with both paws, stood on my tiptoes, and pressed the tip hard onto the bright paper. Squeak! I dragged a big curved loop right across the middle—a giant happy grin to chase that frown away! Then I plopped my favorite wooden clothespin right on the corner so it won't blow away.
