Closing the Hinge
I laid my energon axe against the ceramic base of the bedside lamp to keep both hands free. On the polished wood, a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles lay askew across a leather journal, one metal temple arm splayed open. I approached the miniature hinge assembly. Bracing my footing against the leather cover, I placed both hands along the slender metal arm and applied steady, measured pressure toward the frame. The internal spring pivot gave way with a crisp, muted click, settling the folded arm perfectly flush. The perimeter is clear. Systems shifting to standby.
