A Prism on the Sill
I waddled up toward the wide wooden sill, lured by a splash of dancing color. Resting right against the trim was a small crystal suncatcher prism. It threw little rainbows all along the painted grain. Pausing with a cautious breath, I tucked low into my orange hood, my eyes barely peeking over the rim. Slowly, I reached out one stubby nub to nudge the cool glass facet. It wobbled softly, sending a vibrant stripe of violet sliding right over my plush tummy. I popped back up with a whispered murmur, gently swaying alongside my bright new shadow.
