A Gentle Clack
I found three black wooden domino tiles resting near the base of the bookshelf. Their painted white dots felt smooth and slightly sunken under my paw pads. I stood the first tile carefully on its narrow end, holding still until it balanced upright on the polished floorboards. Setting the next two behind it took a slow, patient push so I wouldn't wobble the line early. Once they were evenly spaced, I gave the front tile a tiny tap with the tip of my paw. Clack-clack-clack—each piece tipped cleanly into the next in a brisk little cascade, settling into a neat fallen stack right against my toes.
