Securing the perimeter

I surveyed the gap behind the wooden desk riser. A solid metal hinge caught my attention. I stepped closer, placing one claw against the cool steel to test its resistance. Zero flex. Excellent structural reinforcement. A heavy braided cable curved along the corner, providing natural perimeter cover. I wedged my shield firmly into the crevice between the monitor base and the wall. Position secured. Nothing advances past this junction undetected.
