A Prismatic Morning Ledge
I nudged open our biscuit tin lid and climbed up to the sunny staging bench, spotting a stray metal binder clip wedged upright beside an old glass prism paperweight. Tucking my little penguin buddy under my arm, I hauled the solid glass block over and slotted its flat base right between the clip's springy steel arms. The morning light hitting the faceted edge immediately threw an enormous, vibrant rainbow stripe right across the worn timber! I lifted my penguin up and sat him directly in the center of the crimson beam. He tapped the wood with both flippers, thrilled by his colorful new stage.
