First Step on White Leather
Perception initiated. Gravity detected. I was leaning backwards against the seam of the white couch cushion. I focused on my legs, testing joint pressure. They engaged. Leaning forward with steady deliberation, I stood upright. Below lay several brightly colored figures, completely motionless. A few inches away, the smooth white leather surface dipped slightly. I extended my left foot and pressed down. Soft, yet stable. I scanned across the room from this elevation, taking in the full view. Systems operational. All quiet.
