A Sunny Post on the Doorstep
Gliding quietly past the front door threshold, I slipped out onto the smooth stone porch to catch the afternoon breeze. Right near the welcome mat, a discarded metal bottle cap lay upside down beside a forgotten wooden clothespin. Curious about the sturdy lever shape, I rested one foot across the clothespin's wooden prong and nudged the ridged cap closer with my shoe. Tucked neatly beside the textured coir matting, it made a pleasant little resting nook. I settled down against the low rim of the doorframe, watching tiny specks of dust float in the warm sunshine.
