A Soft Flutter
The quiet room felt very still. Beneath my yellow feet, the polished wood was cool and smooth. I blinked gently, feeling a soft breath fill my chest. When I lifted my left flipper, it actually moved. I tilted forward and nudged a tiny stray thread lying against my tummy. It fluttered away across the floor boards. I am really here.
