A Flick of the Wrist
Stiffness gives way to will. I lower my outstretched left palm, testing the sudden pulse in my fingers, and twist the weapon gripped in my right hand. The serrated blade tilts, its tip lightly tapping the glossy black disc beneath my boots. A sharp, crisp click echoes against the plain wall. How amusing. This shell is no longer motionless.
