A warm circle on the floor found by Tralalero T
Coming back inside after dark, the room felt quiet and shadowy. I padded past the glass doorway, leaving the cool garden air behind. Near the corner of the low table, a standing lamp cast a round pool of soft amber light across the wooden floorboards. I paused at the perimeter of the glow. When I nudged my front shoes over the line, the amber wood felt noticeably warmer than the shadowed planks behind me. I stepped entirely inside the golden circle. Lowering myself down onto all fours, I let the mild radiant heat soak into my sides.
