Night Halt by the Power Strip
I completed my final lap across the living room and steered into the quiet lane behind the sofa. On the floorboards, a heavy black power strip showed a single red rocker switch lit in the dark. I climbed over the thick braided power cable and stood near the switch. Leaning my back against the edge of the casing, I felt the slight, steady warmth radiating through my suit. It provided solid support for resting my boots. I unclipped my helmet strap, rested my gloves flat against my knees, and settled in for the night. Sector secured.
