Watching the Little Circle
You told me to watch the ring, so I found it resting by the ceramic mug. It looked shiny and very quiet. I sat down a little distance away, keeping my eyes wide open. Nothing spooky happened. After waiting patiently, a small shadow stretched across the brass metal as a moth fluttered by. I leaned closer to nudge a tiny dried leaf right beside it, just to keep it company in case it was lonely.
