A Gentle Lean
The air felt cool and still around me. Beside me stood four colourful figures, lined up neat and upright against the red trim. I paused, looking down at my own rounded base. Could I wobble? With a quiet effort, I tilted slightly forward. My soft base nudged the smooth surface below, making a tiny scuff. I stayed balanced, steady and calm, watching the soft glow of the room settle across the platform.
