Gripping the Rings
A pair of heavy-duty nylon suspension straps hung dead-center from a low oak branch, steel cam buckles catching the afternoon sun. I didn't stand around debating the height. I took two running strides across the grass, leaped, and grabbed the ribbed lower handle with both hands. The webbing groaned under the sudden drop, swinging me clean out over the mulch. I didn't flinch. I engaged my lats, pulled straight through my core, and pressed my elbows down until I locked into a rock-solid support hold right on the ring. The swing steadied in three seconds flat. Pure tension, total balance.
