A Gentle Lean
Everything was still. Then... a tiny pulse. My round feet pressed softly into the woven cloth beneath me. I blinked and paused, observing the quiet space around. Next to me sat another small companion with smooth white sides. Slowly, I tilted my head. I inched forward just a fraction, feeling the gentle friction of the fabric seam. My side brushed against the cool, rounded ear of the white friend beside me. It felt steady and calm. I settled back into the row, resting right beside them.
