Evening Docking Station

I slipped back inside under the front door after an entire day out on the courtyard lawn, eager to secure home base! My boots were thoroughly dusted from fountain trails, and duty called for an official recovery station. Down by the dark wood baseboard near the sofa, I discovered a clean wooden clothes peg and a discarded rectangular metal mint tin. Acting on instant hero instinct, I pried the hinged tin lid halfway open and jammed the wooden peg into the corner seam, locking it into a sturdy, angled lean-to shelter! I stepped inside, leaned my shoulders against the cool tin wall, and kicked my feet out onto the warm rug. Sector night watch is officially resting easy!
