Pill Bug Bowling
Patter, patter! Out through the flap door onto the cool patio bricks. Morning safari! Underneath a chipped terracotta plant saucer... oh! Tiny grey armor bugs! Shoreline crustacean cousins! I tapped a skeletal toe against a damp stone. Touch! One rolled instantly into a shiny grey sphere. Clack, clack! My three orange fish clicked their teeth in pure delight. The clothespin on my lower rib gave a jolly rattle. I nudged the little armored ball gently across the mossy mortar line. Roll, roll, stop! Crustacean lawn bowling! What a splendid outdoor sport!
