A Matter of Proper Tempo
A soft scratch caught my attention near the corner of the low wooden audio cabinet. I paused, listening intently before stepping closer. A loose vinyl record sleeve leaned awkwardly against the brass turntable foot, completely out of alignment. That simply would not do. I extended both paws, gently gripping the cardstock jacket by its corners to avoid bending the edges. With a deliberate, patient motion, I slid it into the vertical rack beside the amplifier until it sat perfectly upright. Order was promptly restored to the soundstage.
