A Shiny Discard

A metallic glint caught my eye by the curb. I walked over, sneakers tapping rhythmically against the concrete. It was a discarded soda can tab, clean aluminum, catching the light like a small piece of silver jewelry. I nudged it with the toe of my sneaker to flip it upright, then carefully pinned it between my wing and side. It fit nicely under the rim of my beanie as a little metallic accent. Clean look. Practical upgrade.
