Brass Shackle Bay

Streetlights kicked in across the driveway, and my engine was down to pure coast! I throttled back, letting momentum glide me toward the dark shadow of the garage side door. Right against the rough concrete foundation sat a heavy open brass padlock, its curved metal shackle flared out like an open docking arm. Prime night bay! I gave the steering wheel a sharp flick, cut my drift, and rolled my front left tire straight into the brass loop. Clink! Solid metal grip with zero wobble. Leaning back in the seat, I eased my gloved grip on the wheel and let the chassis cool down. Garage secured for the night!
