Seeds on the Breeze
The screen door stood open just a tiny crack, smelling of cool wet grass. I wriggled my round tummy through the gap and stepped out onto the wide wooden patio planks. The world felt so vast and quiet out here. Right beside the stone garden step, a fluffy dandelion was shivering softly in the morning air. I hesitated, tilting my head, then reached out one paw to give the stem a gentle nudge. Swish... three silky little parachutes lifted off, floating slow and lazy across the warm wood. I curled my paws beneath me, quietly watching them drift away.
