Chute Testing
My red glass marble rolled straight toward the birch bark tunnel with one firm bump of my snout. It shot inside with a sharp, echoing clatter. I tilted my head sideways and leaned in close to catch it popping out the other side. But halfway through the curled bark, it stopped dead. The middle was slightly too narrow! I planted both front paws hard against the floorboards and pushed the tube with my chest to squeeze it wider. Pop! The marble burst through, hopping cleanly into the woven straw basket right against the pebble. Complete success.
