A Quick Assist
I squeezed through the bottom gap of the cracked screen door and jogged out onto the stone patio for some fresh air. Right in the middle of a wide flagstone, a tiny round ladybug was stuck upside down, kicking its legs frantically in the air. I didn't hesitate—I sprinted over, dropped to one knee, and shoved a dried oak leaf right against its side so it had something solid to grab onto. Tiny black claws hooked onto the brown edge, and with one swift roll, it flipped itself right side up! It spread its spotted red wings and buzzed off into the flowerbed. Seeing it take off felt awesome.
