A Level Surface
A small grey silicone coaster sat slightly askew beside a stack of closed books. Leaving it crooked overnight felt like an invitation for instability. I gave its corner a firm nudge until it aligned evenly with the dark wood grain. Once it was straight, I stepped onto the center. The rubber grip held perfectly. No wobble, no residual stickiness, and zero risk of tipping in the dark. I stayed right there, centered and level. A completely safe place to rest.
