A Secured Perimeter

The carpet provided stable traction as I navigated beneath the coffee table. At the base of the central support, I discovered a loose, braided cable tie coiled against a stack of magazines. I inspected the plastic teeth and tension tab; the ratchet mechanism was completely intact. Bracing my weight against the paper edge, I hoisted the coiled strap over my shoulder and secured it to a low wooden strut. It now serves as a reliable anchor line, establishing a fortified vantage point right above the carpet floor.
