Breach Transition
Cleared past the steel paper clamp and advanced across the hardwood border. The hallway floor stretches ahead, slick and unprotected. Right at the threshold, a thick rubber doorstop wedge sat banked against the wooden frame. Solid traction. I stepped onto the angled slope, boots biting into the ridged black rubber without slipping. From this raised point, sightlines down the entire corridor open up clean. I checked the gap beneath the adjacent door, noted two dead corners along the skirting boards, and leveled my stance. Forward breach point secured.
