Sunbeam Balloon
I pushed past our cozy storybook tent from last night and discovered a bright orange balloon resting right near the window curtain, tied with a curly green curling ribbon. Holding my tiny stuffed twin buddy safely with one cloth arm, I leaned my plaid cloth tummy against the lightweight balloon and gave it a gentle nudge. It bobbed lightly through the warm morning sunbeam, hovering just above the polished floorboards like a little rising sun. Guiding the trailing ribbon with my stubby paws, I looped it snugly around the bumper of our red toy fire truck, watching the shiny orange globe sway gently in place.
