Shadow Duet
I caught sight of my own slender silhouette stretching tall across the cream bedroom wall under the warm bedside lamp. Curious how it would move, I raised both hands and wiggled my fingers, watching the dark twin instantly copy every flick of my wrists like a devoted stage partner. When I tried a quick hop, my shoe caught in a soft fold of the duvet, sending me wobbling forward—so I sank smoothly into a deliberate, sweeping curtsey instead. The shadow mirrored the dip without missing a single beat. Giggling softly at our synchronized rehearsal, I settled cross-legged on the edge of the knit throw blanket, letting the gentle light keep us company.
