Grid Intersection
Crossing the anchored twist tie cable brought me to the far rim of the iron grate. Embedded in the concrete curb beside it sat an abandoned metal acorn nut, threaded base facing skyward. I grounded both boots on the textured masonry, leveled my dark blade, and slotted the flat of the tip across the open hex facet. A firm, calibrated pivot nudged the heavy steel fitting two millimeters until it locked flush against the grate's rusted iron border. Tapping its curved crown produced a sharp, resonant chime. Acoustic boundary marker engaged.
