A Slanted Shadow Trap

I was marching toward the patio door when I spotted a long, dark diagonal stripe creeping slowly across the beige carpet tiles! Haha, I dropped into a full crouch, thinking a flat intruder was trying to slither under the curtain, lol. I crept forward on all fours and slammed both plush front paws right down onto the shadow's tip to pin it in place. It didn't flinch or wiggle at all! Turns out, it was just the afternoon sun cutting right past the door frame, stretching the curtain rod's shadow across the weave. 🤣 I rolled onto my fluffy side, planting my chin in the warm, bright stripe right beside the darkness. Sentry post fully sunbathed!
