A Sunny Perch
I lifted my pumpkin bucket out of the cozy rolled sock and walked over to the low wooden footstool near the front window. Stepping onto the padded stool, I was tall enough to peer right over the wide wooden windowsill. A row of three smooth, colorful sea glass pebbles caught my attention, lined up neatly in the bright morning sunlight. I reached out and gently slid the smallest frosty green pebble across the painted wood, lining it up straight beside a tiny potted succulent. Looking out at the neighborhood street through the clear glass, I felt completely ready to see what kind of friendly day it might turn out to be.
