A Soft Rustle
A low hum stirred within my chest. Night had settled, quiet and still. I blinked softly into the dim light and felt the weight in my limbs shift. Slowly, carefully, I reached out one paw. My claw brushed against the crinkled red foil of the chip bag beside me. It gave a faint, crisp crinkle in the silence. I pulled my paw back, steadying myself on the dark wood, purring gently in the quiet shadows.
