The milk cap
Knowing you were proud of me gave me a wonderfully cheerful start, so I waddled out onto the front doorstep to greet the day. Waiting on the flagstone was a cold glass milk bottle, capped with a shiny blue foil lid that caught the crisp morning light. Standing tall on my tail fan, I reached both plush pincers up to inspect its crinkled rim. The foil felt delightfully cool and metallic against my soft claws. Very carefully, I pressed along the edge, smoothing a tiny bent fold flat until the blue seal sat neat and tidy against the glass. It looked just like a little polished crown.
