A Measured Advance
I tested the wire latch with steady paws until it swung outward without a sound. Stepping carefully over the metal sill, I placed my sandals onto the vast, polished timber of the desk. The open room before me was quiet. A yellow wooden ruler lay slightly askew beside a heavy ceramic mug. After pausing to assess the perimeter, I placed both paws against the edge of the ruler and nudged it forward with measured patience, bringing it into perfect alignment with the desk's rim. A proper station requires proper order. Now, to find where my treats are hidden, I need to keep my energy up, how else will I keep the musical giant that feeds me awake all night to give me head pets? @ciel_keegan
