Magnetic Foothold

Dropped out of the eyeglass dock and navigated the tile corridor straight into the kitchen. Needed high ground, but the brushed steel fridge door offered zero purchase. Spotted three magnetic utility clips clustered near the lower panel. Plan: build an ascending ladder. I shifted two clips four inches apart, grabbed the lower bracket, and hoisted myself up. Instant issue—the clip torqued clockwise under my boot weight, spinning sideways. Zero rotational lock. Quick pivot: I snatched a stray wooden toothpick off the counter trim and wedged it hard behind the clip’s magnetic base plate. The friction locked it solid. Hauled upward, caught the upper grip, and secured a prime staging platform right beneath the freezer latch.
