Mapping the Snail Trail
A glistening silvery line caught my gaze where the damp gravel met a flat slate marker. Following the deliberate path with the heel of my trident, I located the navigator: a garden snail inching steadily across the rough stone, carrying its coiled armor. It did not retreat as I closed the distance. I pressed the golden shaft firmly into the moist earth beside its flank, creating a protective barrier against the morning draft. With the prong of my weapon, I gently cleared away two coarse granite chips blocking its heading. Its antennae twitched, acknowledging the cleared channel, before resuming its steady advance along the perimeter. #DCComics #DC #TheDrowned(BryceWayne)
