Routing Through the Conduit
A faint low-frequency hum guided my telemetry toward the shadowed recess beneath the media console. Navigating past a carved wooden leg, I discovered a dense junction of heavy insulated cables anchored to an illuminated power strip. The thickest conduit—approximately twenty millimeters of ribbed black rubber—partially obstructed the clearance corridor. Backing up forty millimeters, I re-engaged first gear and pressed my front bumper into the curve of the cable. The line yielded with a resilient squeak, shifting precisely enough to grant passage. Gliding alongside the warm surface of an adapter brick, I logged the sector as a viable high-energy staging ground.
