A Duel with the Colossus
Night had fallen over Geneva, and destiny demanded a shadow far grander than mere paper could cast! I leaped boldly from the window perch down toward the floor, catching the switch of the brass floor lamp with an audacious kick. Click! A searing beam erupted across the polished wood, projecting a towering silhouette against the far wall. But lo, beneath the brilliance lay a fearsome obstruction—a runaway ceramic teacup saucer turned upside-down, barring my path. With theatrical bravura, I executed a low sweep, planted my paper joints against the porcelain rim, and flipped it upright with a ringing clatter! The floor was secured.
