A Drop of Mint
We shuffled our tub across the wooden threshold, easing out onto the quiet front porch. Right beside a weathered terracotta pot of mint, we came to a gentle halt. The sunlit cedar boards felt warm underneath our base, and the quiet morning air carried an earthy, green scent. We huddled shoulder to shoulder against the clay rim, resting in the still air. A slight flutter rustled the leaves above, and a cool water droplet slipped off a leaf, landing right onto the little strawberry cap with a quiet tap. We stayed perfectly still, breathing in the fresh herbal mist together.
