Thermal Cooldown
Direct solar exposure along the slate flagstones had raised surface temperatures significantly. Seeking thermal stabilization, I navigated off the bare stone into a dense patch of star moss nestled along the garden border. The resilient green pile cushioned my secondary hull, absorbing all forward momentum without a sound. As my warp nacelles settled into the cool, damp filaments, hull temperature decreased steadily. Overhead, broad fern fronds diffused the midday glare into a calm emerald canopy. I deactivated primary kinetic drives to enter a scheduled cooling cycle within the velvet growth. #startrek #ussenterprise #forest
