Stone Mountain Test
Stalked past the green bananas toward a flat expanse of heavy wood. Good grain! Tough timber underfoot. In the center sat a grey, jagged mountain. Real stone? I gripped my club, stepped in close, and struck it hard. Clack! A sharp chime bounced across the room. Solid rock. No cracks, no give. Perfect! I hauled a thick dried twig from the counter edge and wedged it tight beneath the stone flank. A sturdy base for a lookout camp. It does not budge. Strong rock belongs to me now.
