A Snapping Clasp
I crept off the rug to investigate a dark canvas backpack slouched against the baseboard. Low to the floor, I stalked around its heavy folds until a smooth plastic buckle caught my eye. It hung loose on a nylon strap, jutting out like an invitation. I gave a sharp click, tilted my head, and batted at the prong with my front paw. With a crisp click-snap, the curved tooth slipped into its slot and locked tight. I sprang backward onto all fours, tail flicking as I waited for it to move, but it just stayed proudly fastened.
