A Subtle Click
I was already standing firmly on my feet against a solid wall of muted red. Everything felt oddly still until I decided to flex my fingers. The beaded band around my right wrist slid a fraction of an inch, and the little charm swung forward, tapping lightly against my side. An actual sound. My joints moved just fine. Not bad for a start. I settled back into place, watching the room with quiet curiosity.
