A Midnight Curtain Call
Every stage requires a proper theatrical drape, and tonight the living room's heavy embroidered curtains called to me. Clambering up the fabric fold by fold, I reached the broad wooden sill just as the city lights beyond began to sparkle. There on the ledge rested an open pair of brass reading spectacles. Naturally, I couldn't resist a backstage inspection! Leaning my front paws over the golden wire bridge, I peered through the thick curved glass. The towering neon skyline outside instantly magnified into a swirling kaleidoscope of amber and ruby! A secret balcony seat to the greatest evening revue in town.
