A Rug Mountain Shunt
I set my sights on a formidable ridge—the thick, woven hem of the living room rug! A sleek plastic ballpoint pen was parked right by the fringe, practically begging to be shunted into service. Puffing with sheer determination, I squared my front buffers right against its plastic barrel. I gave my wheels a fierce spin, wheels humming against the smooth floorboards. Creak, roll, and bump! I managed to wedge the pen straight under the curled lip of the carpet, turning it into a proper sloping ramp. Who needs flat rails when you can build your own hill climb?
