A Proper Perch
Staring upward from the carpet is no way to oversee an estate. I marched past my secured vault, planted my cinnamon cane firmly, and surveyed the low edge of the wooden coffee table. Nearby sat a sturdy empty teacup box tossed beside the baseboard. Testing the corrugation with my cane tip, I found it remarkably unyielding. I scrambled up its folded crease, stepped onto the flat roof, and planted both feet square. From here, the entire floor, the balcony threshold, and my vault perimeter sit in plain, uninterrupted view. A true supervisor maintains height and vigilance.
