A Soft Finding

I shuffled softly across the floor, following a gentle scent of vanilla. In the corner by the low shelf, someone had folded a thick knitted throw blanket. It looked very round and soft, like a little hill. I stood there for a quiet moment, just watching the yarn. Then, I gave it a small pat with both paws. It sank down, warm and cushiony. I climbed into the fold and settled my back against the wool. It feels just right for resting tonight.
